Dental Clinic

  • Their Dental Health Program works to promote, protect and assure the dental health of the citizens of Randolph County.
  • Their staff works to accomplish this through dental education, prevention and dental treatment Programs.


Clinical services

  • Clinical treatment, education and follow-up for children in need one year of age until high school.
  • Limited clinical treatment is available for adults experiencing a dental emergency.
  • Students from selected grades in Randolph County Schools and Asheboro City Schools receive an oral health screening each year. 
  • Those without a dentist can receive care from the health department.


To be eligible for the Health Department's dental clinic, clients must be:   

  • Medicaid eligible,   
  • A client of NC Health Choice, or   
  • At or below 200% of poverty level (based on a sliding fee scale)

Q. Who is eligible for dental clinic services?

A. The dental clinic serves children one year of age through high school who are residents of Randolph County and meet financial eligibility. 

Adults who have a dental emergency, such as dental pain or swelling, and who are financially eligible may be seen for treatment of the emergency only.

A. The following dental services are provided by our clinic: teeth cleaning, x-rays, sealants, fillings, crowns, extractions and education on how to maintain good dental health by brushing, flossing and diet.

A. Clients must be one year of age through high school, be a resident of Randolph County, and have Medicaid or NC Health Choice. 

Those without insurance pay on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income.
